As per sources, the new arrangement was “worth mid-eight figures” for a five-year responsibility. Past GoT-titles, Martin is likewise dealing with Who Fears Death and Roadmarks for HBO.

Martin remarked already on The Winds of Winter’s advancement: “I composed a great many pages of The Winds of Winter in 2020. The greatest year I’ve had on [the book] since I started it. Why? I don’t have the foggiest idea. Possibly the disengagement. Or then again perhaps I just got on a roll. Now and again I do get on a roll. I need to continue to roll, however. I actually have many more pages to write to carry the novel to an agreeable end. That is the thing that 2021 is for, I trust.”
